Working Principle
Smart bypass soft starters mainly realize smooth adjustment of motor starting voltage by controlling the conduction angle of thyristors. At the initial stage of starting, the soft starter outputs low voltage, making the motor accelerate slowly with small current. As the motor speed gradually increases, the soft starter gradually increases the output voltage until the motor reaches rated speed, at which time the soft starter automatically switches to bypass operation mode, providing rated voltage for the motor through the contactor, completing the starting process. This starting method effectively avoids the high current impact generated in traditional direct starting methods, protecting the motor and power grid.
